Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and finding the right therapist matters. My hope is that when you meet with me, you feel like you are sitting with someone who is truly listening.

Before becoming a counselor, I had many different jobs in retail, schools, childcare, human resources, office work, and customer service. Those experiences helped me learn how to connect with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences.

Professionally, I have worked in several different counseling settings, including a substance abuse intensive outpatient program, an inpatient mental health setting, a government-funded organization supporting survivors of sexual trauma, a group private practice, and a grief organization where I facilitated groups. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of the many ways people experience pain, healing, growth, and resilience.

I am licensed in Louisiana as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-A) who has worked in the counseling field since 2020. I am currently working toward becoming a Louisiana board-approved supervisor and hope to continue growing my practice into other states in the future.

My style is gentle, collaborative, and supportive. I tailor therapy to each person, but I naturally tend to work from a softer and more encouraging approach. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, and I often combine those approaches with talk therapy to better understand how past experiences continue to shape present struggles.

Personally, I am in the middle of building my own family and understand how beautiful and difficult that stage of life can be. I especially love helping moms, dads, couples, and families navigate challenges they never expected to face.

Clients I work best with

I work primarily with adults (18+) and LGBTQ+ high school students.

My areas of focus include

  • Clients struggling with relationship issues, couples, marriage, pre-marriage.

  • New parents, future parents

  • Queer clients 14+

  • Adjusting to new stages of life

  • Adults navigating anxiety, stress, or overwhelm

  • Individuals navigating identity, self-worth, or life transitions

  • People processing sexual trauma or difficult past experiences

My approach to therapy is gentle, warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe every client deserves care that fits their unique personality and needs. I tend to be a softer therapist, and I value helping clients feel safe rather than pushed.

My work is grounded in inclusivity, compassion, nonjudgment, honesty, humor, and empowerment. I want clients to know they do not have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.

I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, and I also incorporate talk therapy into many sessions. I often help clients explore the connection between past experiences, current relationships, and patterns that may still be affecting them today.

My style

No matter which therapist you choose, I believe you should always be in the driver's seat of your therapy experience. Finding the right fit matters. If you ever feel like I am not the best fit for you, or if another counselor does not feel right, I encourage you not to give up on counseling altogether. The relationship between a client and therapist is important, and sometimes it takes time to find the person who feels right for you.
